Management Team

An experienced team of professionals make up the Microposite management team:


Marc W. Carlson  President and CEO

Mr. Carlson was an early employee at Ariba, Inc. where he held a variety of executive management and sales management positions including VP General Manager of the Global Automotive Industrial Aerospace Group. Prior to Ariba, Marc helped expand Rasna into a successful acquisition target for PTC (1995 $500M transaction). Before joining Rasna, Marc spent time at General Motors and GMF Robotics in manufacturing, sales and engineering positions and then managed product planning and marketing. Marc holds a BS in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Purdue University.


Bruce A. Potts CFO and VP of Operations

Mr. Potts joined the Executive Management of Haden International Group as CFO shortly after it was formed through a management buyout from the former UK parent company Haden MacLellan Holdings. Prior to Haden, Bruce was one of the founders of GMF Robotics where he held Executive Officer positions responsible for finance, accounting and human resources (CFO), manufacturing, facilities and customer support (Sr. Vice President), and engineering and sales (CEO of European operations, VP and General Manager of a US division). Prior to the formation of GMF Robotics, Bruce worked for General Motors for 10 years. Bruce holds a BS in industrial administration from Kettering University (formerly GMI) and an MBA from Wharton.


Lawrence W. Kimberly Founder and Inventor

Mr. Kimberly is an accomplished entrepreneur and technology inventor with a strong background in chemistry. Larry has been responsible for the development, and management of several startup businesses in the past. With over 18 years experience in technology development , Larry leads the company's engineering and  technology development initiatives. Larry holds a BS in Chemistry from Eastern Michigan University.


David T. Demarest Co-Founder

Mr. Demarest is a seasoned business professional who has started several specialty equipment engineering companies focused on serving the automotive industry. Dave has over 26 years experience specializing in the engineering and sales of machining equipment used in high volume production of power train components in the automotive industry. Dave is responsible for the development and engineering of high volume processes for Microposite applications. Dave holds a BS in Engineering from Michigan State University.


Paul Cloutier VP of Sales

Mr. Cloutier has a broad experience across corporate and business development, sales, operations, manufacturing, and engineering. Most recently Paul served as a Sales Manager for Ariba, Inc., and prior to that was in sales and business development positions at Parametric Technology and Rasna. Earlier in his career, Paul was a manufacturing engineering lead for TRW Automotive and GMF Robotics. Paul holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Kettering University (formerly GMI), including advanced studies in laser processing and manufacturing management.


Ken Warnshuis VP of Manufacturing

Mr. Warnshuis was Plant Manager and R&D Manager for a slab foam plant of Eagle Industries.  Mr. Warnshuis has worked in the Polyurethane industry his entire career, starting with Foamex, and obtaining his BS in Chemistry from Edinboro University while working at Foamex.  He occupied head chemist, technical manager, and plant manager positions at several molded foam companies before his former assignment for Eagle Industries.


Rod Coffey VP of Administration

Mr. Coffey spent 25 years at FANUC Robotics (GMF Robotics) from its formation in 1982 until he retired in March, 2007 (to join Microposite).  Mr. Coffey was responsible for the Human Resources, Legal and Facilities function at FANUC Robotics in his last assignment there.  Prior to joining GMF Robotics, Mr. Coffey held various human resources positions with the General Motors Engineering Staff in the Detroit Metropolitan area for 13 years.  Rod holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Science from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Management and Supervision from Central Michigan University.
